About Us

Welcome to Africa Bound Safaris(Kenya) Ltd.

Africa Bound Safaris(Kenya) Ltd. was conceptualized by local Kenyans following more than 20 years of experience in the tourism industry. This was an eye opener for them about the vital role played by tour operators in the tourism value chain. We are a small corporate outfit specializing in groups between two and twelve people who demand and expect personalized services. We cater to honeymooners, family groups, retirees and special interest clients or small groups.

Our mission is to offer upmarket services that provide an opportunity for travellers to assimilate into the cultures of hosting communities whilst enjoying the inexhaustible attractions of the country.

Our vision is to be a market leader in the application of eco tourism principles and promotion of community based tourism to benefit the local people.

In order to ensure continued utilization of the tourism resource base, we support the conservation of wildlife through our membership to the EAST AFRICAN WILDLIFE SOCIETY and ECOTOURISM KENYA.

It is against this background that LILLIANE and SIMON partnered up with AMBROSE MTUI from Africabound Tours Tanzania and friends from CANADA to incorporate AFRICA BOUND SAFARIS(Kenya)Ltd. with a vision of becoming a market leader in the application of eco tourism principles and promotion of community based tourism in Kenya.

Apart from it's support for the East African Wildlife society and Eco Tourism Kenya, Africa Bound Group supports the local people through school programs and environmental stewardship which have become a core value of its brand

As a tradition, all clients are personally received from the airport, checked into their hotels and briefed by Lilliane.

All safaris are accompanied by Simon.

AFRICA BOUND SAFARI Group guides are multilingual and have accumulated many years of field experience. In addition, they are regularly trained in off-road driving by reputable organizations, have excellent product knowledge, communication skills, social aspects of tourism and application of eco tourism principles.

Safaris are conducted in 4 by 4 Land Cruisers, each fitted with radio communication equipment and pop up roof for excellent photography.

The EAST AFRICAN WILDLIFE SOCIETY safeguards and promotes conservation and sustainable management of wildlife resources and their habitats in East Africa. The society’s conservation awareness in rural and coastal areas sponsors projects and contributes directly to the purchase of materials such as boats, radios and equipment for use in the field to protect wildlife.

Our Guides and Operators

Simon

Is an environmentally cautious Safari guide and has never been comfortable at the way the majority of tour operators have been perceived as "bystanders" since the concept of eco tourism emerged from conventional tourism in the 1990’s.

Simon brings over 17 years of experience to the partnership. He is a member of Kenya Professional Safari Guides, a recognized tourism body in Kenya, Wildlife Club Of Kenya, and National Museums of Kenya. Simon has been to the remotest parts of Kenya in his filming career prior to joining the tourism industry. He is widely travelled and has immense exposure to European and Asian culture. He has been highly recommended by all clients that have experienced his services.

Lilliane

Her exposure in product packaging made her realize that apart from tour operators connecting travellers to destinations, they design itineraries which can either enhance or destroy destinations.

Lilliane bring 20 years of experience with the last 10 at management and upper management levels to the partnership. She is widely travelled worldwide and has interacted with very senior decision makers both in the public and private sector.
